‘Heartbeat’ follows in the steps of ‘Riverdance’

BOSTON — Heartbeat of Home, the electrifying new music and dance spectacular created by the producers and director of Riverdance, will make its East Coast debut in a limited engagement at Boston’s Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre from Wednesday, March 26 through Sunday, April 6. Presented in Boston by the Citi Performing Arts Center, MSG Entertainment and Larry Magid Entertainment, tickets are now on sale.
 Following its World Premiere engagement in Dublin, and a sold-out run in China and Ireland, Heartbeat of Home comes to Boston on its first North American tour, which began in January 2014 and will include Toronto, Chicago, Detroit, New York City (TBA) and Los Angeles.
Created by the Producers and Director of Riverdance, Heartbeat of Home is a brand new tantalizing, high octane, sexy, music and dance extravaganza. This heart -stopping tour de force features the dynamic, vibrant components of traditional Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban music and dance. 
The Irish Mail hailed it as “an extraordinary highly imaginative show” and the Irish Independent raves that this world-class cast of thirty-seven including a ten-piece band “had every heart in the theatre missing a beat.”
 Heartbeat of Home features a new and electrifying sound written by award-winning, Golden-Globe-nominated, composer Brian Byrne.  The joyous, heart-stopping and high-energy production also features high-definition, cutting-edge projection technology.
 Produced by Moya Doherty, conceived and directed by John McColgan with lyrics and narrative by award-winning Irish writer Joseph O’Connor,  Heartbeat of Home showcases world-class dancers from Ireland, USA, Australia, Britain, Canada, Italy, Mexico and Spain and choreography by David Bolger.
 The Heartbeat of Home creative team also includes John Carey (Irish Dance Choreography), Alan Farquharson (Set Design), David Torpey/Image Now(Projection Design), Peter Canning (Lighting Design), Ciaran Byrne (Sound Design), Monica Ennis and Niamh O’Connor (Costumes Styling) and Padraic Moyles (Assistant Director).
